The speed of the screw pump has a significant impact on its operation efficiency and lifespan. The flow rate of the screw pump is linearly related to its speed. Compared with the screw pump with a low speed, the screw pump with a high speed can increase the flow rate and head, but the power will significantly increase. The acceleration of the speed will accelerate the wear between the rotor and the stator, which will inevitably lead to the premature failure of the screw pump and shorten its service life. By using a speed reduction mechanism to lower the speed to a reasonable range of less than 300 revolutions per minute, its service life can be extended by several times compared to the high-speed running screw pump.

During the operation of the screw pump, it is necessary to ensure that no foreign objects enter the pump body to avoid damaging the stator of the screw pump. To prevent the entry of foreign objects, a grille device or filter screen can be installed to block the foreign objects from entering the screw pump. However, the grille should be cleaned in time to avoid blockage.

It is best to install a material interruption stop device in the screw pump. Once there is a material interruption, it should stop running to avoid running under the condition of material interruption, causing wear and generating high temperatures that burn the equipment. Moreover, during operation, it is necessary to maintain a constant outlet pressure to avoid overloading use, which can cause damage to the equipment.
